Web Developer

We are looking for a talented Web Developer to join our team. You will be an integral part of a small but growing, skilled team who is ready to make a difference with a mid to high volume web site.

Sky Blue is a well-funded team of energetic people building a great product and service for public radio. With two stations already successfully launched and lots of stations waiting, we are looking to add more talent to our team.

This work is about continuing the implementation of our site, mainly server side, to create a fantastic overall user experience that will soon be a part of tens of thousands of public radio listener’s lives.

Necessary skills include multiple years of experience with Ruby on Rails, SQL/MySQL, JS, AJAX , HTML, CSS, unix shell scripting, Capistrano, and Linux system administration (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).

Other experience is always a plus as we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies.

Benefits are available for full time employees, including a flexible work schedule and a great insurance package. This position starts as a contract assignment, and moves to full time employment given a successful working relationship. Relocation is not required.

Customer Support Representative

Sky Blue Technologies is looking for a talented Customer Support Representative to join our small but growing, skilled team who is ready to make a difference with a mid to high volume web site.

Sky Blue is a well/self-funded team of energetic people building a great product and service for public radio.  This includes a small key-chain sized electronic device that works with a customer focused web site, creating a fantastic user experience that will be part of tens of thousands of public radio listener’s lives.  Product training is provided.

Necessary skills include:

• Great people skills with ability to foster good customer experiences.

• Excellent verbal/written communication and follow-though.

• Ambition, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

• Experience with operating computers and navigating internet web sites.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and insure successfully resolution.

• Be a self starter with strong problem solving skills.

Other experience is always a plus as we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies.
